DIRECTOR & FOUNDER - Lynne Sheehan
Lynne is the founder and Director of SJA, and she also teaches our 2 and 3-Day programs. Lynne is a lifelong resident of Medway. She has raised 4 children here with her husband Bob, who is also a lifelong resident of Medway. Lynne owned a local preschool for over 15 years and worked in the public schools before starting St. Joseph Academy in 2008. She has over 35 years of experience working with young children. She enjoys telling stories, using puppets, and dancing with the children.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - Lauren DiCicco
Lauren grew up in Canton, and now lives in Medway with her husband and 2 children. Lauren joined the teaching staff as a 5-Day teacher in 2016. In 2022 she left the classroom and now manages the administration for St. Joseph Academy. She possesses a degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Education. Lauren has 20+ years of preschool teaching experience. When she is not at SJA, Lauren enjoys reading, traveling and being with her family.
TEACHING STAFF:
Donna Schmitt
Donna works in our 5-Day Program with Mrs. Spinazola. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Donna later lived in the Mountain West. Donna has taught in public preschool programs which served children with and without special needs. Donna has a BS in Communication Disorders and a Masters in Early Childhood Special Education. She has been a teacher at St. Joseph Academy for six years and LOVES swimming, which she also taught for 20 years, as well as crafts, home decorating, and reading.
Lisa Swan
Lisa is a teacher in one of our 5 day classes. She has a BA in Psychology and is certified through Massachusetts EEC. Lisa is a resident of Medway where she and her husband have raised two sons. Lisa has a wonderful way of connecting with children, organizing classroom activities, and planning age-appropriate curriculum for the children. Lisa enjoys spending time at her beach cottage in RI, spending time with family and friends, and taking walks with her dog, Winnie.
Cathy Spinazola
Cathy is a teacher in one of our 5-day classes. She is a resident of Medway and has raised 3 children here in town. Cathy has her degree in Elementary Education and has taught many different age levels. She has found her home in the preschool classroom. She has a wonderful way of bringing out the very best in every child by encouraging them and building their self esteem. All of the children are drawn to her calm nature and kind smile. Cathy enjoys biking, hiking, and volunteering at the animal sanctuary for rescue animals.
Kelley Gittings
Kelley teaches in the 2-day and 3-day programs with Mrs. Sheehan. Kelley has a degree in Physical Education and Health promotion and is also a licensed massage Therapist. Along with that, Kelley has always worked with children in the public schools, after school programs, and has been the Aquatics Director at Franklin Country Day Camp since 1990. Kelley was born and raised in Medway and has had three children graduate from the Medway School System. She is also a certified First Aid and CPR instructor. Kelley enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
Meghan Rediger
Meghan is a 5-day teacher with Mrs Swan. Meghan has her Masters Degree in Curriculum Design, Assessment and Instruction as well as her Bachelor Degree in Education. Her background and experience is with middle school, but her sense of humor and calm nature make her a perfect fit for our 5-day class. Meghan lives in Medway with her husband and two sons, one of which is a SJA alumni.
Amanda Fitzgerald
Amanda is a teacher in our 2-day program . She has her Bachelor Degree in Education and has experience teaching in high school. Meagan lives in Medway with her husband and three children. After spending many years at home raising her family, Amanda decided to come back to the work force in the preschool setting. Her youngest daughter is a SJA alumni. Amanda has a very calm presence and a very special way of connecting to each child she encounters.
Bruna Eustis
Bruna is a teacher in our 5-day program. She lives in Medway with her husband and their three children. She enjoys spending time at the beach with her family or cooking and gardening. When she isn't with her family she is busy working towards her degree in Education. Although Bruna is new to teaching she is not new to providing care and comfort to children. Her calm and friendly demeanor is a perfect fit for our school.
